About
Is there a local issue that you care about? Is it an issue that impacts the quality-of-life in your community? Be it the neighborhood, town, city or state where you live and count yourself a stakeholder? Is it an issue that resonates nationally but starts at home? Are you an informed and progressive individual who is prone to take action? Are you a doer out to make your voice, power, and opinion heard and felt? Are you willing to speak truth to power? If your answer is an emphatic yes to all of the above then welcome to a gathering place. This is the town crier for current issues and concerted action: MetroWatchdog.org.
This project is sponsored by the Metro-area Green Parties and directed by a volunteer Editorial Board.
MetroWatchdog will be a sentinel on the lookout for news, information, and action alerts about local and community issues throughout the Twin Cities metro area and beyond. MetroWatchdog will stand guard against malfeasance, corruption, apathy, and cynicism that attacks the resolve of the progressive agenda.
Foremost among the guiding principals of MetroWatchdog is the recognition that true democracy begins at the grassroots level. MetroWatchdog will serve as a forum for individuals and organizations to vigorously engage in and exercise the ancient principal known as "the rule of the people." MetroWatchdog will serve as a beacon, a source, and a font for public participation.
MetroWatchdog welcomes contributions whether from so-called average citizens as well as the more politically active among us. Metro Watchdog stands as a unifying force to feature important issues and encourage actions to effect the outcome of those issues. MetroWatchdog will always point the way--from problems to solutions.
